Tech Titans Awards Gala Nominations

2019 Tech Titan Gala Nominations are open  
January 25th - May 28th


Tech Titans defines the North Texas as the 11 counties in the DFW North Texas region including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise counties.

Instructions for completing online nominations

1. To nominate, click the link below to create a profile and register a user name and password.

2. In the Award Category drop down menu, select the category you wish to nominate. ​For a list of categories, see the list below. 

3. Complete the required nominee profile information and the questions required of the category. Prior to finalizing the nomination, you can save and close the form at any time. You may come back, log in and click "My Nomination Forms" to edit or delete the nomination. 

4. To submit the nomination click "Save and Finalize". You will receive an email receipt of your nomination. 

5. To change or withdraw a nomination after the nomination has been submitted contact Mallory Crumb 972-792-2870.

COMMUNITY HERO AWARD

The Tech Titans Community Hero award recognizes an individual employed by a North Texas technology company for outstanding achievements in community service to the North Texas area.


CORPORATE CEO AWARD

The Tech Titans Corporate CEO award recognizes the CEO or Division President of a technology company having a corporate headquarters or a division office in North Texas. The company has 2018 operating revenue of more than $200 million.


CORPORATE CIO AWARD

The Tech Titans Corporate CIO award recognizes the Chief Information Officer of a North Texas based technology or non-technology company for exceptional technical leadership that fosters the deployment of Information Technology (IT) resulting in significant value for the company.


CORPORATE CTO AWARD

The Tech Titans Corporate CTO award recognizes the Corporate Technology or Science Officer of a North Texas based technology or non-technology company for exceptional technical leadership that fostered the development of new technology resulting in significant value for the company.


CORPORATE INNOVATION AWARD

The Tech Titans Corporate Innovation award recognizes a technology company for outstanding innovation and unique accomplishments through recent or potential breakthrough technology or approach within the technology or approach within the technology industry in North Texas. The company must have a corporate headquarters or a division office in North Texas. The company must have 2018 operating revenues of more than $200 million.


EMERGING COMPANY CEO AWARD

The Tech Titans Emerging Company CEO award recognizes the CEO of a technology company headquartered in North Texas with 2018 operating revenues of at least $2 million but no more than $200 million.


EMERGING COMPANY INNOVATION AWARD

The Tech Titans Emerging Company Innovation award recognizes a technology company for outstanding innovation and unique accomplishments through recent or potential breakthrough technology or approach within the technology industry. The company must be headquartered in North Texas and have 2018 operating revenues of at least $2 million but not more than $200 million.


FAST TECH

Fast Tech, a Tech Titans Award, recognizes the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology company in North Texas. Fast Tech Award finalists are determined based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2016-2018.

By submitting the nomination form, the company agrees to publicly disclose its percentage revenue growth. The percentage revenue growth is computed as :[( FY’2018 revenue - FY'2016 revenue) / FY'2016 revenue] x 100%. Tech Titans will not disclose actual current and base year revenue amounts.


HALL OF FAME AWARD
The Tech Titans Hall of Fame award honors a North Texas technology visionary for outstanding leadership in assisting, advancing and accelerating the performance of the technology industry and/or adoption of technology in North Texas; spanning more than one decade and reaching far beyond the individual’s
company/organization. Only individuals are eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame including corporate leaders and technologists, non-profit individuals, venture capitalists, educators, entrepreneurs, inventors and individual contributors. The award may be given posthumously. The frequency and selection of inductees is at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.


INVESTMENT CATALYST AWARD

The Tech Titans Investment Catalyst award recognizes an organization for completing a significant technology related investment transaction that will impact and deliver significant long-term economic prosperity for North Texas. The transaction must have occurred since January 2018.


TECHNOLOGY ADOPTER AWARD

The Tech Titans Technology Adopter award recognizes a company with U.S. headquarters in North Texas whose core business is not a technology product for outstanding adoption and application of innovative technologies that successfully change and impact business results.


TECHNOLOGY ADVOCATE AWARD

The Tech Titans Technology Advocate award recognizes a North Texas individual or company whose core business is not a technology product for outstanding leadership in championing, assisting, advancing or accelerating the performance of the technology industry in North Texas.


TECHNOLOGY INVENTORS AWARD

The Tech Titans Technology Inventors Award recognizes the pioneering accomplishments of a person, team or group responsible for the creation of breakthrough ideas, processes or products which have advanced the discipline(s) of the arts, education, electronics, energy, engineering, environment, medicine, and/or science. The nominee is with a North Texas company or institution.


 

2019 Tech Titans of the Future Award Categories

UNIVERSITY LEVEL AWARD

The Tech Titans of the Future University Level award recognizes an accredited educational institution in the North Texas area that encourages and supports students to choose engineering and technology related disciplines as a preferred career path. This award category spotlights North Texas higher educational institutions' technology related curricula and incentives to perpetuate tech-related knowledge transfer. The award finalists display creative, innovative approaches that reach out to students and other learning-minded professionals and related institutions. The nomination requires testimonials from two current or former students, educators or other individuals who have excelled or benefited from this program.

HIGH SCHOOL MATH/SCIENCE TEACHER AWARD

The Tech Titans of the Future High School Level Award recognizes a North Texas high school (grades 9-12) math or science teacher for development and implementation of an innovative teaching technique or program that inspires student interest regarding further educational and/or career pursuits in science, technology, engineering or math.  The teaching technique or program must demonstrate opportunity for students to gain applied knowledge. Only one teacher per school may be nominated. A lesson plan may be included in the nomination. The nomination requires testimonials from two current or former students.
